Someone long ago asked me to tell them my story, the story of Cathy. I thought, Why would anyone want to hear a story about someone so insignificant and unimportant as I? But then I realized that in my story, I am the main character. I have lived in my very own cinematic universe where I am the star and everyone else…simply guest stars. The drama, the broken hearts, the chaos, the heartwrenching loss, the plot twists, the soft moments, and oh the joy–all mine. I am the author of my own chaotic, imperfect but beautiful life. My story is only mine to tell.
