Melanie Willis was raised in West Chester Township, Ohio, and currently resides in Liberty Township, Ohio. She and her husband, Patrick, got married in 2012 and have four children—Parker, Mason, Hayley, and Beckett—and two dogs, Ellie and Brutus. Melanie graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in communications and is currently an executive assistant in Cincinnati. Melanie always dreamed of writing a book, and one night her oldest son asked her to make up a bedtime story, so together they did. Once her second son heard Candy Town, he wanted a story of his own, so they got started on the second book in the series.
