Well, Nora is a squirrel who has lots of dreams! With help of her best friends, Nick and Cyrano, she finds the courage, takes a big change, and makes her first of many dreams come true. Along the way, she discovers new friends who help her realize that:
- Every dream is worth having.
- We are braver than we think.
- No dream is too big or too small (or too silly).
- We will never know until we try.
Nora and her friends learn that you can do anything as long as you take a change and GO FOR IT!
About the Author
Colleen Stelmaszek was born in Evanston, Illinois, but was raised in Houston, Texas. She is married and has two sons, one cat, and a very affectionate Westie who is more like her third child. She has a bachelor of fine arts degree from Southern Methodist University and did a stint at California Institute of the Arts working toward a master of fine arts degree. Nora, Nick, and Cyrano, the characters in the book, are based on three real squirrels that live fearlessly in her front yard and wait outside for nuts, conversations, and occasional belly rubs.
